Houses are more familiar ground. A back-to-back has one external wall, and that decides the design in one go. The terraces and semis in Middleton, Belle Isle, Hunslet and Churwell have yards and gardens and go in like anywhere else on our patch — usually one properly sized unit in a top-floor room or a loft conversion, fitted in a day.
