Fitted properly, serviced for good.Air con installation, servicing & repair in Sandal — homes & businesses
Sandal is where we do most of our loft-conversion work. The large inter-war semis and detached houses along Barnsley Road, Milnthorpe and the streets around Sandal Castle were built with generous south-facing bays, and the rooms behind them — especially the ones in the roof — get genuinely hot.

Homes in Sandal
What the houses here actually need.
The classic Sandal house is a 1930s bay-fronted semi or detached with a hipped roof, a decent back garden and, at some point in the last twenty years, a bedroom or study put into the loft. Those top rooms are the hardest thing in the house to make comfortable: warm air collects in them, the insulation that keeps winter out keeps summer in, and a Velux facing south turns them into a greenhouse by four in the afternoon. One correctly sized wall unit fixes it for both cooling and heating, and the pipe run down the side of the house is usually short and easy to hide.
Lower down the same streets, and through Agbrigg, Belle Vue and Kettlethorpe, the rooms are more conventional but the glazing is not — those front bays are a lot of south-facing glass. Where a household wants more than one room done we will often quote a multi-split, so a single outdoor unit at the side of the house feeds the main bedroom and the lounge rather than putting two condensers on the same wall.
Businesses in Sandal
Commercial air conditioning in Sandal: shops, salons, offices and workshops.
Sandal's business premises are mostly the sort that sit among houses: dental and veterinary practices, nurseries and childcare, hair and beauty rooms, small offices along Barnsley Road, and the pubs and cafes around Pugneys and the castle. Noise and neighbours matter more here than in a retail park, so we site condensers with the boundary in mind and set them to night mode where they run late.

Air conditioning in Sandal — FAQs
It is one of the most common jobs we do here. A wall unit at high level with the condenser at ground or first-floor level down the side of the house is the usual answer, and it heats that room in winter too — loft rooms are as cold in January as they are hot in July.
Not usually, and we will say so. Air conditioning cools the room it is in plus a little through open doors. For a whole upstairs we would normally look at two indoor units on a multi-split, which shares one outdoor unit and one set of pipework.
Yes — they sit either side of Sandal and we treat them as the same trip. Same for Newmillerdam and Walton just to the south.
