Air conditioning in Huddersfield.
Fitted properly, serviced for good.Air con installation, servicing & repair in Huddersfield — homes & businesses

Huddersfield is the largest town on our patch after Leeds and the most varied to work in: stone terraces stacked up hillsides at Paddock and Fartown, grand Victorian villas at Edgerton and Marsh, and everything from student lets to new-build estates in between. All of it stone, most of it steep.

Homes in Huddersfield

What the houses here actually need.

The terraces climbing out of the town centre are gritstone, solid-walled and built into the slope, so the front door and the back door are often on different floors. That makes the survey the important visit: the pipe route, the indoor unit position and where a condenser can sit and still be serviced all follow from the levels rather than from the floor plan. Top-floor and attic rooms are the usual reason people ring, and they are also the rooms where a single unit does the most.

The larger houses at Edgerton, Marsh and Almondbury are the other half of the work — tall rooms, deep bays, a lot of glazing and grounds that let a condenser be properly hidden. Several of them are in conservation areas, which we treat as the default assumption rather than a surprise: nothing on a street elevation, pipework internal where the building allows, and placement agreed in writing before anything is drilled.

Businesses in Huddersfield

Commercial air conditioning in Huddersfield: shops, salons, offices and workshops.

Huddersfield’s commercial work is the most varied on the patch: town-centre offices and professional practices, shops and cafes around the station and St George’s Square, salons and barbers, gyms and treatment rooms, plus a lot of converted mill and industrial space now let as studios and workspace. We work at the small-premises end and fit outside opening hours, and for anything genuinely large we will tell you it needs a bigger outfit than ours.

Landlord work is a real part of it too, given how much of the town is let. Rented property brings its own requirements — written permission before we start, clear handover of instructions and paperwork to whoever manages the tenancy, and servicing that can be scheduled around occupants rather than sprung on them.

Questions, answered straight

Air conditioning in Huddersfield — FAQs

We cover HD1 to HD5 and the villages inside the fifteen-mile line, which takes in Lindley, Marsh, Edgerton, Paddock, Fartown, Birkby, Almondbury and Newsome. Further up the valleys is outside our patch and we will say so.

It is a planning question, not an obstacle. Levels decide the pipe route and the outdoor unit position, and we work both out on site — including how it will be reached for servicing years from now, which is the part that gets forgotten.

Written permission from whoever owns the building before we start, and a sensible way to reach the tenants for access. We leave instructions and the F-Gas paperwork with the person who manages the tenancy, and we can put the property on a maintenance plan so servicing is not left to chance.

Cost, what a service covers, and how air con and an air-to-air heat pump differ are answered in our general FAQs.
